Dr. Raymond Ooi

Prof. Dr. Raymond Ooi is a distinguished Malaysian quantum physicist internationally recognized for his pioneering contributions to quantum optics, nonlinear optics, plasmonics, molecular spectroscopy, and quantum technologies. His research is characterized by the integration of diverse scientific disciplines to advance the understanding of light-matter interactions and quantum phenomena.
He earned his Dr.rer.nat. (PhD) from Universitaet Konstanz, Germany, in 2003, followed by postdoctoral research at Texas A&M University. Throughout his career, he has held appointments and research positions at leading institutions, including Princeton University, the Max-Planck Institute for Quantum Optics, Peking University, and Nanyang Technological University.
Prof. Ooi has received numerous prestigious honors, including election as a Fellow of OPTICA in 2025, becoming the first Malaysian to receive this distinction. He was also invited by the Nobel Committee to serve as a nominator for the 2021 Nobel Prize in Physics. His other accolades include the Malaysia Toray Science Foundation Science & Technology Award, Fellowship of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, and Fellowship of the Academy of Engineering and Technology of the Developing World.
As the founder of the Quantum and Laser Science research center at Universiti Malaya, Prof. Ooi has played a pivotal role in establishing quantum optics research and education in Malaysia. He has led the country's national quantum communication research program, developed advanced experimental facilities, authored numerous scientific publications, served on international editorial boards, and continues to inspire future generations through teaching, public engagement, and global scientific collaboration.
Dr Vesna Mitrovic

Vesna F. Mitrović is the L. Herbert Ballou University Professor of Physics and Chair of the Department of Physics at Brown University. She is an experimental condensed-matter physicist whose research explores unconventional superconductivity, quantum magnetism, frustrated magnetic systems, low-dimensional materials, quantum phase transitions, and topological states.
Her work makes extensive use of nuclear magnetic resonance and related techniques to study quantum materials at very low temperatures and high magnetic fields. She has contributed to research on exotic superconducting phases, including the Fulde–Ferrell–Larkin–Ovchinnikov state, magnetic order in superconductors, vortex-core structures, skyrmions, and spin-liquid behavior.
Professor Mitrović earned her B.S. from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1995, her M.S. from Northwestern University in 1996, and her Ph.D. in Physics from Northwestern in 2001. After postdoctoral research at the Grenoble High Magnetic Field Laboratory in France, she joined Brown University in 2003 and became an Associate Professor in 2010.
Her honors include an A. P. Sloan Fellowship, the Brown University Manning Assistant Professorship, and the Richard B. Salomon Faculty Research Award. She has published approximately 38 research papers, including articles in Nature, Nature Physics, and Physical Review Letters, and has advised graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in quantum materials and magnetic-resonance physics.

Dr Somnath Bhattacharyya

Prof. Somnath Bhattacharyya is Dean of Quantum Technology and Senior Professor at SRM University, Andhra Pradesh (Amaravati), where he leads initiatives such as the Amaravati Quantum Reference Facility to build hands-on, hardware-focused quantum education and research in India. He holds a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from IISc Bangalore and has over 25 years of international experience, including a long tenure as Full Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, where he established a quantum nanoscale transport physics lab. His research focuses on quantum transport in superconducting carbon-based devices, nano-scale transport at low temperatures and high magnetic fields, and broader nanotechnology and condensed-matter physics. Dr Arindam Ghosh

Dr. Arindam Ghosh is a distinguished experimental condensed-matter physicist and JRD Tata Chair Professor of Physics at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. His pioneering research focuses on two-dimensional materials, graphene, nanoscale electronics and quantum technologies.
He is known for discovering novel quantum-critical behaviour in ultraclean graphene, including the unique interaction between charge and heat flow in its electron fluid. His work also explores ultra-sensitive quantum sensors, thermoelectric devices and atomically thin materials for next-generation technologies.
A recipient of the Infosys Prize and Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, Dr. Ghosh contributes to India’s National Quantum Mission and leads deep-tech innovation in quantum materials and devices.
Dr Fatih Ozaydin

Professor Fatih Ozaydin is a Professor of Quantum Technologies and Data Management at Tokyo International University, Japan; Associate Editor of Quantum Information Processing; Senior Scientist and Board Member at the Nanoelectronics Research Center; and Managing Director of BeeBI Consulting Japan. He holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Information and Quantum Optics from Osaka University and has conducted research across quantum communication, quantum networks, quantum metrology, quantum thermodynamics, quantum AI, and nanoelectronics. He has published widely in quantum information science and contributes to international initiatives including CERN’s Future Circular Collider project.
Dr Luigi Maxmilian Caligiuri

Prof. Luigi Maxmilian Caligiuri is an internationally recognized physicist, academician, and researcher with expertise spanning quantum mechanics, condensed matter physics, materials science, astrophysics, and applied mathematics. Dr Rami Ahmad El-Nabulsi

Dr. Rami Ahmad El-Nabulsi, Ph.D., is a distinguished theoretical physicist and applied mathematician affiliated with the Center of Excellence in Quantum Technology and the Quantum-Atom Optics Laboratory at Chiang Mai University, Thailand, the University of South Bohemia in the Czech Republic, and CESNET in Prague. He earned his Ph.D. in particle and mathematical physics and modeling, following advanced studies in plasma physics and a strong foundation in physics and applied mathematics.
With extensive academic and research experience, he has contributed to pioneering projects in nonlinear quantum dynamical systems, solid-state physics, superconductivity, plasma MHD, biophysics, geophysics, nuclear engineering, and space sciences, establishing novel models and mathematical frameworks that advance the understanding of complex physical systems. A prolific author with more than 400 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, Dr. El-Nabulsi’s work bridges theoretical innovation with real-world applications. He has received numerous honors, including recognition among the Top 2% of scientists worldwide, lifetime achievement award, innovation in science award, outstanding researcher award, pioneer research award, neurocomputing, excellence in innovator award, excellence in research award, nanophotonic research award, and is a highly sought-after invited speaker at global scientific forums. He serves as a reviewer for more than 250 international journals and as an editorial board member for over 40 journals, contributing significantly to the development of advanced physics and applied sciences. He is also committed to teaching and mentoring the next generation of scientific leaders.

Dr. Almut Beige is an Associate Professor and Head of the Quantum Group in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Leeds. After earning her PhD at the University of Göttingen, she held prestigious research positions at Imperial College London, the Max Planck Institute in Munich, and the University of Cambridge before joining the faculty at Leeds in 2005.
Her research centers on quantum optics, quantum photonics, and open quantum systems. She investigates foundational aspects of quantum mechanics, with a strong focus on practical applications in quantum computing architectures, networking, and metrology.
Dr Varsha Sambhaje

Dr. Varsha Santosh Sambhaje is an Assistant Professor at SRM University–AP and a faculty member of its Quantum Research Centre. She holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Computing from D. Y. Patil International University, Pune, and works in quantum computing, quantum information science, quantum cybersecurity, photonic quantum systems, and computational linguistics. Her research interests include quantum algorithms, quantum entanglement, quantum cryptography, and the integration of quantum computing with artificial intelligence and language technologies. At SRM University–AP, she contributes to the development of the Quantum Reference Facility established under the Amaravati Quantum Valley Project, India’s first indigenous, open-access quantum-computing testbed.
Dr Arun Pati

Prof. Arun Kumar Pati is a distinguished Indian theoretical physicist and a pioneer in quantum information, quantum computing, quantum communication, and the foundations of quantum mechanics. He is the Founding Director of the Quantum Ecosystem and Technology Council of India (QETCI).
With more than three decades of research experience, Prof. Pati has made seminal contributions to quantum coherence, entanglement, remote state preparation, quantum measurement, uncertainty relations, and quantum information theory. His pioneering work includes the no-deleting theorem and no-hiding theorem, which established fundamental limits on the manipulation of quantum information.
He has authored more than 150 research papers and has collaborated with leading international scientists in quantum information. His honors include the J.C. Bose National Fellowship, the Samanta Chandra Sekhar Award, and fellowships of the Indian Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Sciences, India.
Prof. Pati is widely recognized for his contributions to advancing both the fundamental science and emerging technological applications of quantum information in India and internationally.
Dr Rafael Sotelo

Dr. Rafael Sotelo is Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Montevideo, Uruguay.
