Quantinuum, a Honeywell-backed quantum computing company, has announced the launch of Helios, billed as the world’s most accurate quantum computer. In a CNBC Television interview, President and CEO Rajeeb Hazra revealed that Helios marks a “paradigm shift” for the quantum industry, moving from years of research into real-world, commercial use.
Helios is available both on the cloud and on-premise, featuring a full software stack designed for developers to begin building commercial applications immediately. The product already counts major clients such as SoftBank, JP Morgan Chase, and Amgen, with the first on-premise Helios heading to Singapore as part of a five-year partnership agreement.
Hazra emphasized that Helios allows enterprises to start exploring quantum applications today, helping AI train more efficiently through quantum simulations and accelerating discoveries in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and energy. Quantinuum’s strategic partnership with Nvidia will connect Helios to Nvidia’s classical computing technology, driving what Hazra calls “Gen Q-AI”—the next evolution in generative AI powered by quantum.
While the sector is seeing major moves from competitors such as IBM, Alphabet, and Microsoft, Hazra claims Helios is 3 to 5 years ahead in making commercial quantum computing accessible. Quantinuum’s recent $10 billion valuation will fuel further ecosystem buildout, commercial applications, and strategic acquisition activity as it accelerates its roadmap. An IPO remains a possibility as the company continues to grow and collaborate with majority shareholder Honeywell.
Key points:
Quantinuum launches Helios, the world’s most accurate quantum computer, transitioning quantum tech from research to commercial application.
