Pasqal and LG Electronics Forge Strategic Partnership to Propel Quantum Computing Industrialization

Pasqal, Europe’s leading neutral atom quantum computing company, has entered into a strategic partnership with LG Electronics, a global leader in appliances and consumer electronics. This collaboration is highlighted by an equity investment from LG Electronics into Pasqal and aims to accelerate the development and industrial application of quantum computing technology.

The partnership will focus on co-developing quantum algorithms targeting LG’s complex industrial challenges such as multiphysics simulation, optimization, and material discovery. Furthermore, both companies will jointly explore core enabling technologies essential for neutral atom quantum computing infrastructure, including optical and electronic components. Neutral atom quantum computers utilize individual atoms trapped by laser light as quantum bits and operate at room temperature, positioning them as promising industrial solutions.

Pasqal’s CEO, Loïc Henriet, emphasized that the partnership represents a fusion of quantum science and industrial expertise aimed at advancing the deployment of industry-ready quantum applications. From LG’s side, Senior Research Fellow Seong-Hyok Sean Kim highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and leadership in quantum computing through this collaboration.

This strategic alliance is expected to accelerate product development, enhance the quantum supply chain, and expand market adoption across various sectors by combining Pasqal’s pioneering technology with LG’s industrial leadership.
