On November 3, 2025, PsiQuantum and Lockheed Martin formalized a strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating the development of quantum computing applications within aerospace and defense sectors. This partnership, built on years of prior cooperation, focuses on developing quantum algorithms to tackle complex challenges in national security and aerospace technologies for the U.S. government and its allies.
The collaboration leverages PsiQuantum’s expertise in building the world’s first utility-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computers and its software suite, Construct, which designs and optimizes algorithms for such quantum systems. Lockheed Martin brings its global leadership and research capabilities in aerospace and defense to this joint effort.
Quantum computing is expected to revolutionize industries by enabling highly accurate simulations of chemical and physical systems, solving problems in fluid dynamics, propulsion, heat transfer, and quantum mechanical interactions that continue to challenge even the most advanced supercomputers.
PsiQuantum’s fault-tolerant quantum technology aims to enhance aerospace system performance and mission capabilities, with the partnership underlining the urgent need to develop quantum algorithms ready for future quantum hardware. This announcement follows PsiQuantum’s recent $1 billion Series E funding round to build commercially viable quantum computing systems.
